  • Hyiodine, the unique wound healing product invented by researchers from Contipro Group in Dolní Dobrouč, Czech Republic, successfully heads abroad

  • Dolní Dobrouč, X February 2006 – Hyiodine, the Czech product with patents registered or pending in 90 countries worldwide, is to be distributed outside the Czech Republic – in the Baltic and Jordan. Contipro C, a.s., part of Contipro Group, has signed the first agreements for product distribution in the Baltic with the distributor Elvim and for distribution in Jordan via Delta International.

  • ‘We have signed the first contracts with Elvim, which operates in Lithuania and Latvia, and an exclusive agreement with Delta International covering Jordan. In the first quarter of the year, we will be signing agreements for supply to another nine countries. As a result, our Hyiodine will be available this year to patients in numerous countries throughout the world,’ says Zuzana Bubnová, the Contipro Group sales director.

  • In the Czech Republic, Hyiodine is highly successful in the treatment of diabetic defects, non-healing defects, postoperative wounds, bedsores and leg ulcers. ‘Hyiodine is a product which reports very good therapeutic results. Having had the opportunity to administer it to our patients, I can say that, compared to other methods used to treat skin defects, the healing process is much faster with Hyiodine,’ said Dr Zdeněk Ziegelbauer (the former physician of the Czech national ice-hockey team) from the private clinic Privátní chirurgická ambulance as he confirmed the quality of the product.

  • In 2003, Contipro Group applied for patents for Hyiodine, a special gel bandage based on sodium hyaluronate and an iodine complex, in 90 countries worldwide. The whole approval process can last up to five years. The first countries have now authorized Hyiodine, which is protected by the patent office. ‘Hyiodine is the first of a number of wound healing products we plan to place on the global market. We are already developing another two,’ adds Zuzana Bubnová.
